There’s something magical about getting ready for a Christmas craft show — the smell of fresh sawdust mixing with pine-scented candles, carols playing in the background, and the soft glow of string lights over my workbench.
This time of year, my garage transforms into Santa’s woodworking shop.
I’ve been working around the clock (and through more cups of coffee than I’d like to admit) to get my handmade wooden items ready for the big holiday show. It’s one of my favorite events of the year — not just because I get to sell what I’ve made, but because I get to see people smile when they find the perfect gift.
🎄 What’s on My Workbench This Season:
- Handcrafted Christmas tree items (stars, snowflakes, rustic trees)
- Holiday signs with sayings like “Merry & Bright” and “Believe”
- Rustic Hot Coco and Coffee caddy’s
- Mini wooden lanterns with battery tea lights
- And of course — flag-style pieces
The Prep Behind the Projects
Let me tell you — getting ready for a craft show is no small feat. There’s designing, building, sanding, staining, sealing, pricing, tagging, packing, and loading. I’ve got checklists, tote bins, and display stands all over the garage.
But honestly, I love every minute of it.
It’s a labor of love, and there’s nothing better than seeing someone pick up a piece I made and say, “This is perfect for my mom,” or, “This will look great on our mantle.”
Come Say Hi!
If you’re heading to any local holiday craft shows, keep an eye out for my booth — Bubba’s Workshop. I’ll be there with handmade gifts, a warm smile, and maybe a candy cane or two.
Thanks for following along on the journey. Whether you’re shopping handmade or making things yourself, here’s to a Christmas season filled with creativity, connection, and a little sawdust.
