One of the best things about running Bubba’s Workshop is being able to use my skills to give back—and recently, I had the honor of doing just that.
I teamed up with Miss Sawyer’s “Kids With A Cause” to help support a powerful mission that’s making a real impact in our community. Miss Sawyer, an incredible young leader with a heart as big as her smile, organized a special “Bike Night at Doc’s On The River” event, and I was proud to contribute by crafting some handmade wooden American flags for her giveaway.
🧰 The Build – Crafting with Purpose
As I fired up the tools in my garage, this project felt a little different. Sure, I’ve made dozens of flags before—but knowing these were going to support something bigger than me gave the whole process extra meaning.
Each flag was made from solid wood, hand-sanded and carefully torched to bring out the grain and give it that classic rustic look I love. I crafted each flag from solid wood and ran it through my CNC machine to carve in the stars and stripes with precision. These are “Custom Burnout American Flags“, offering a bold, modern twist on the traditional look—something that really stands out while still showing deep respect and pride. After carving, I torched and finished each one by hand to give it a clean, professional look worthy of the cause they represent.
I wanted these pieces to reflect American spirit, craftsmanship, and heart—something that would last and stand as a symbol of the cause they were supporting.
💖 Why It Matters
Miss Sawyer’s Kids With A Cause is about more than just giving—it’s about teaching young people to be the change in their communities. She’s been out there raising awareness, supporting veterans, helping kids in need, and spreading kindness wherever she goes.
When she reached out about her Bike Night giveaway at Doc’s On The River, I didn’t hesitate. It’s the kind of event where people gather not just for fun, but to make a difference. And I was honored to play a small part in it.
🏍️ The Event – Burnout Flags for the Riders
The Bike Night event brought together an awesome group of folks—riders, families, veterans, and community members—all showing up to support a cause and have a good time. Miss Sawyer handed off the custom burnout flags I made, and the winners were proud to take home a piece of something meaningful.
It’s moments like this that remind me why I do what I do. It’s not just about wood and tools—it’s about people, stories, and community.
🙌 Thank You, Miss Sawyer
Big thanks to Miss Sawyer for inviting Bubba’s Workshop to be part of your mission. Keep leading, inspiring, and showing the world what one person (even a young one!) can do when they put their heart into it.
And to everyone who came out to Bike Night at Doc’s On The River—thank you for supporting this great cause. Let’s keep lifting each other up and using our gifts to make the world just a little bit better.
