As the summer heat starts to fade and the leaves begin to change, there’s one thing I look forward to every year — fall craft show season.
There’s just something about crisp mornings, the smell of cider in the air, and folks walking around with pumpkins and handmade goodies in their arms that gets me excited. And this year, I’m bringing a fresh batch of handmade wooden creations to the show!
Right now, my garage is a mix of sawdust, paintbrushes, and last-minute touch-ups. I’ve been busy building everything from cedar lanterns and rustic flags to small shelves, signs, and cutting boards. Every piece is handcrafted, sealed, and ready to bring a little warmth to someone’s home this fall.
What I’m Bringing to the Show:
- Rustic Halloween lanterns
- Handmade American flags
- Fall-themed porch signs
- Mini wooden pumpkins
- …and a few surprise items if I can get them done in time!
Behind the Scenes
It’s not all wood and glue — prepping for a show takes some serious hustle. I’ve been sanding and staining, building displays, pricing items, and trying to remember where I put the receipt book from last year. I even made a new banner for the booth to help catch folks’ attention (nothing fancy, just a big ol’ “Bubba’s Workshop” with a saw blade behind it).
This time of year is a great reminder of why I love doing this. I get to meet folks face-to-face, hear their stories, and see them light up when they find something that speaks to them. That kind of connection is what makes it all worth it.
If you’re local, swing by and say hey! I’ll have a warm drink waiting and a booth full of handcrafted goods ready to find new homes.
